Lost In Introspection

“Nature is not a place to visit. It is home.”

– Gary Snyder

I am sitting in the car beside an empty road. It is monsoon and there is a little bit of heat in the sun. The road looks too empty. The road is not usually busy, you will not see an endless stream of trucks and cars. Everyone is self-isolating. The machine has stopped. It feels strange. Peaceful. I can hear different birds… the wren, the blackbird, the robin. A blue tit is flitting from one branch to the next. Life goes on. I could sit here all day.

Probably the best view I have ever experienced in such a lonely place. The warmth of the sun against the skin, a gentle summer breeze, birds singing on a quiet monsoon morning, the calming sounds of winds lapping against my hair, a beautiful sunset with slight drizzling, the broad sweep of lush green valleys, clear blue skies, the stars, and the moon at night amidst the forest of Sonajhuri , the scent of ripe fruit or blooms of unknown flowers, the glimmer of light on the Kopai River, the feel of soil under foot, finding shade in the solidity of a tree, watching birds in flight with their great patterns of movement, the joy of dogs running, playing and sleeping in the middle of the road.

And the best part is “Matir Bharer Cha” without which I cant lost in my deep conversation with my unsolved thoughts.

Everywhere I look people, including me, are rushing to the next moment. But sometimes what you need is just to sit back and enjoy the moment where you are right now. You can’t change your past, rather than repent of some past incident, take inspiration from that, use it as your learnings and try to become a better version of yourself.

Those empty long roads are buried with different stories.
I just sat there with a cup of chai and here’s what I feel.

Most of us are restless and there is self-centered narcissism that always wants more.

More knowledge. More impact. More acknowledgment. More distraction.

But in between this race, we often forget to slow down and show some gratitude for what we already have or what we already achieved. Because there are people out there who are struggling for this. Always show gratitude and help others.

And the key takeaway I have learned in my life is that doesn’t judge other people if you don’t know the story and you never know what learnings you can get from that person.

“Always take the positive things irrespective out of any situation” — start practicing this. your brain will also work accordingly.

Maybe you’ll feel differently and that’s ok.

Sometimes it’s good to explore yourself in a different environment that you have never been to before and take time for yourself to introspect. Self-examination is the best way to look into your flaws, work on them and get better.

In the practice of nature connection, there is nothing involved in other healthy habits like exercise and diets, nor the hangover of other pleasurable experiences like food and drink. Yet nature connection provides the best rejuvenating experience.

This is hard to admit but if I’m honest whenever We “try and search and want”, nothing we do is truly selfless. There is no love. That’s the main problem.

Slow down.

Take a day’s break.

Go somewhere you will feel alive again and find all the answers to your unsolved equation or thoughts. Get involved in some things that are truly meaningful to you and have some purpose in life.
